PawMap Privacy Policy Effective: September 9, 2026 PawMap helps people manage dog profiles, walks, routes, and photo journals. Connecting an account is optional. Without an account, regular walk records remain on the device. The separately authorized stool-check feature uses servers even without a linked account. 1. Information processed • Dog profiles: name, breed, birthday, notes, and profile photo • Walk records: start and end time, distance, route coordinates, and participating dogs • Photo records: capture time and location, notes, and linked walks and dogs • Account data: email, provider, profile name, and avatar supplied by Google or Apple • Family and sharing data: family codes, member display information, and completed-walk summaries 2. Server storage When a Google or Apple account is connected, dog profiles, walk metadata, route coordinates, photo metadata, and family summaries are backed up to Supabase. Regular dog profile and walk photo files are not uploaded and stay in app-local storage. Separately selected stool-check photos are an exception. 3. Purposes We process this information to display profiles and journals, restore records on a new device, share completed-walk summaries with a family group, and support invitation-based walk sharing. 4. Services and advertising PawMap does not sell personal information. A non-personalized Google AdMob banner may appear. Google may process device, app, network, and ad-interaction information for delivery, fraud prevention, and measurement. PawMap does not send dog photos, walk photos, or route coordinates to AdMob. Supabase, Google, and Apple may be used for account connection and storage. 5. Location Location is used to create walk routes and photo locations. Background location is used only during an active walk when the user enables locked-screen recording. Tracking stops when the walk ends. 6. Deletion and retention Deleting the PawMap account in the app removes the server account and server-stored walk and family data. Local records and photos remain until the user deletes them or removes the app. 7. Contact Customer support and deletion requests: jjuready@gmail.com Operator: PawMap This policy may be updated when the service or applicable law changes. Stool check Selected stool photos are used by PawMap for stool observations, record storage, training our own AI models, and service improvement. Photos are sent to the OpenAI API for analysis. Assessable photos and results are stored privately in Supabase until you delete the record, withdraw permission, or delete your account. Unassessable photos are removed from our server after analysis. Regular walk and profile photos are not automatically sent. We remove photo location metadata and do not send account details or routes to OpenAI. OpenAI does not train on API data by default, but may retain security logs for up to 30 days, with legal or safety exceptions. Training our own models is a PawMap use purpose. No automatic training runs yet. We do not sell these photos or send them to advertisers. Removing a particular photo’s influence from an already trained model may not be fully possible. Delete all server stool photos and results and stop future analysis, own-model training, and improvement use. Walk records and regular photos are kept. A photo cannot diagnose health or disease. AI can be wrong, and a normal-looking photo cannot rule out illness.
